More about Maury Jensen

Maury has a twenty-five plus year career in event production and is the owner of Maury Jensen Enterprises LLC. His company provides creative, professional technical production management, audio engineering and other technical services for live events.

Maury Jensen Enterprises is not primarily an equipment rental company, but rather provides production expertise. If equipment is needed, Maury has relationships with a large network of vendors to fulfill your requirements whether large, small or in between.

Maury has always been interested in the creative and technical elements that make up a great event, concert or performance. Even as a child he was interested in the technical side of the performing arts, and he continues to bring that curious interest to every project. Maury spent his high school years at the Visual and Performing Arts program at Minneapolis North High School, where he was exposed to a diverse and intensive performing arts curriculum. He later attended the University of Minnesota as a theater major. Following school, Maury worked in several areas of production including scenery construction, lighting, and live audio.

While working as a Technical Director and Audio Supervisor at the Walker Art Center for more than a decade, Maury was directly involved with the planning and implementation of over one thousand live events, video productions, and installations. Events at the Walker ranged from simple lectures to large outdoor events for thousands.

In 2006, Maury left the Walker Art Center to freelance full time, concentrating in audio, video, production management, technical direction, and sound design. In addition to working at many venues around the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St Paul, he has also done several tours, television & radio broadcasts, and national corporate projects. After five years working as freelancer, Maury formed Maury Jensen Enterprises LLC to further formalize his multi-faceted business.

During the last 14 years Maury has been involved with projects that range from broadcasts, such as MSNBC’s coverage of the Republican National Convention, to non-profit fundraisers, to large-scale corporate events for companies like 3M, General Mills, and Target. Maury was the Lead Event Producer on the 2014 All Star Game Concert with Imagine Dragons for Major League Baseball at TCF Bank Stadium.  He is the Technical Producer for Evening Events at the annual Eyeo Festival, and provides Stage Management for the yearly Rock the Garden concert.  From 2015-2019 he was the Production Manager for the annual Supervalu / UNFI Expo ballroom events at the St Paul RiverCentre.  Other production management credits include events for Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Travail Kitchen and the Minnesota Vikings at US Bank Stadium.

Maury has toured with Ragamala Dance extensively, and continues to work with them on new shows.

Maury also works frequently with several corporate event production companies in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St Paul. This work takes him to cities across the United States.

Closer to home Maury has experience in venues across the Twin Cities including: Illusion Theater, The State Theater, The Pantages Theater, The Cowles Center for Dance, The Minneapolis Convention Center, TCF Bank Stadium, US Bank Stadium, Walker Art Center, The Guthrie Theater, The Children’s Theater Company, Target Center, The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Xcel Center, Orchestra Hall, The Fitzgerald Theater, Aria, First Avenue Nightclub as well as countless area hotels and event centers.

Maury believes strongly in the profound effect a live event or performance experience can have on all involved. He particularly enjoys figuring out the technical elements that contribute to making an exceptional live experience.

Maury and his wife Becky live in Minneapolis Minnesota, but enjoy traveling far away when time allows, and sailing when the weather permits.
